How to Catch Ditto in Pokemon Go
As we know Ditto has appeared in Pokemon Go, then we come cross the questions, how to spot Ditto in the wild, how to catch the Ditto. These puzzles will be solved in this page.
In fact, Ditto will not show the original looks out in the wild. It can mirror other Pokemon. When you have caught one, the original look will show. According to The Silph Road, Ditto is normally disguised as these Pokemon GO creatures in the wild below:
- Pidgey
- Zubat
- Rattata
- Spearow
- Metapod
- Magikarp
- Venonat
- Paras
- Ekans
- Snorlax
- Doduo
- Nidoran (male)
- Mankey
So how to catch a Ditto? Now it's time for you to hunt down Pidgey, Rattatas, etc. Ditto can be caught using Incense, so presumably Lures will work as well although that's currently unconfirmed. The best you could do is try these out and then let the community know how that turns out for you. And also it is important that you pay attention closely after you have caught a Pokemon. Sometimes, we don't stick around for the cutscene. But now that Ditto has arrived in Pokemon Go, now we would all be glued to the screen. It appears before the score card, so watch out. Another way of finding out is checking your Pokedex. If you have unknowingly encountered one but haven't caught it, it will count towards your "seen" Pokemon.
After you've caught one, then walk with Ditto for every 3km can earn you a candy. Ditto can be used in the gym fight, which has the transform skill. Check here to see how Ditto transforms works in gyms. Ditto can mirror the defender's Pokemon, but the cp does change.
Have fun with catching Ditto. When you catch one, you can share your experience in community with other players. Or we can tell you how to once the information about how to catch is confirmed.
