Is Transfering Pokemon Worth More Candies?

When you transfer a Pokemon in Pokemon Go, your Pokemon will be permanently sent to Professor Willow. In exchange, you will get one candy from the Pokemon that you transferred that you can use to evolve other Pokemon of the same species. There is a discussion about the whether transferring Pokemon is worth more candies or not.

Most game players think it should be worth more candies. "I agree with the dust and the values look legit. But those candy values are a little high imo. I think 5 candies for a second tier evo and 7 for a full evo is good. And you get 2 candies on a full starter only. 2 candies on a noddle tier transfer is too much." And someone thought they should give us better reward for waste of balls. It would be good 300-500 dust and 3-5 candies.

While some don't know whether to agree on this. Because catching a Gengar saves you 125 candies if your only goal is just to complete the pokedex. That's a huge time-saver if you don't get many Gastly spawns. There is value in using more balls to catch an evolved Pokemon. For this, someone argued that there is certain value in the first time, the issue is the countless times after that where you are simply catching crappy Pokemon for dust/candy and they all give the same reward despite stage 2/3 taking much more effort to catch. And someone thought he prefers not to catch evolved Pokemon, as they are more troublesome, ineffective and cost more XP.

Even someone has given out the rewards list to agree this idea.

Normal 2-stage Pokémon (50 candy evolution):

  • Basic: 100 dust 3 candy to catch, 1 on transfer.
  • Stage 1: 250 dust 7 candy to catch, 3 on transfer.

Normal 3-stage Pokémon (25+100 candy evolution):

  • Basic: 100 dust 3 candy to catch, 1 on transfer.
  • Stage 1: 200 dust 6 candy to catch, 2 on transfer.
  • Stage 2: 400 dust 12 candy to catch, 4 on transfer.

"Cheap" 2-stage Pokémon (25 candy evolution, e.g. Rattata, Eevee):

  • Basic: 100 dust 3 candy to catch, 1 on transfer.
  • Stage 1: 200 dust 6 candy to catch, 2 on transfer.

"Cheap" 3-stage Pokémon (12+50 candy evolution, e.g. Pidgey, Caterpie, Weedle):

  • Basic: 100 dust 3 candy to catch, 1 on transfer.
  • Stage 1: 150 dust 4 candy to catch, 2 on transfer.
  • Stage 2: 300 dust 8 candy to catch, 4 on transfer.

400 candy evolution Pokémon (Magikarp):

  • Basic: 100 dust 3 candy to catch, 1 on transfer.
  • Stage 1: 400 dust 12 candy to catch, 4 on transfer.

Of course this is a creative idea, that players can write it to Niantic to ask for changes. It's beneficial. What's your thought? Have you got some ideas? If no, then you continue to play the game to complete your Pokedex. When you can't find rare Pokemon, just go to our website to get as well as Pokemon Go accounts and power leveling.
