100 New Gen 2 Pokemon to be Added in Pokemon Go

It is confirmed that Pokemon Go will be updated with Gen 2 Pokemon. 100 new Pokemon are now referenced in the game's code. One, from Pokedex #152 (Chikorita) to #251 (Celebi); two, moveset data has not appeared for the 100 new species, and a client-side update (e.g. v0.45.1) will be required for them to begin appearing in game.

The infusion of 100 new Pokemon into the game, including evolutions for existing Pokemon, would be a refresh unlike any other before it. While Pokemon Go has been consistently adding new features like the Buddy System, this is essentially an expansion, practically a sequel, by introducing this many new Pokemon. 

Some kinds of Pokemon are displayed below.

Kingdra and Stantler

Kingdra is a water and draGon-type Pokemon that lives in the depths of the ocean. Yawning makes a wave of ocean currents. Its weaknesses are draGon and fairy-type Pokemon. On the other hand, Stantler is a normal-type species whose antlers are most sought-after for their value. Its weakness if fighting-type Pokemon.

Mareep and Wooper

Mareep is an electric-type species that uses its fluffy coat to wool to build static charge. The more static electricity is charged, the more glowing the light bulb at its tail. Its weaknesses are ground-type Pokemon. Meanwhile, Wooper is a water and ground-type species that lives in swamps but comes out onto land to find food. Its weakness is grass-type Pokemon.

Chikorita and Cyndaquil

Chikorita is a grass-type species that waves its leaf around to corner an opponent. A sweet fragrance however puffs from the leaf which creates a friendly ambience, chill down even the opponent. Its weaknesses include bug, fire, flying, ice and poison Pokemon. On the other hand, Cyndaquil is a fire-type species that protects itself by igniting the fire on its back. The fire gets enormous when Cyandiquil gets more furious. If it's worn-out however, the flame dies down. Its weaknesses are ground, rock and water-type Pokemon.

Besides, there still some problems exist. First, it's known that from Pokedex #152 (Chikorita) to #251 (Celebi) are introduced, but  #132, #144, #145, #146, #150 and #151 from the game are still missing. That's Ditto, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo and Mew, for the uninitiated. Ditto data (say that five times fast) has been gleaned from this same update as the 100 Gen 2 Pokemon, but the others? Second is about the time. The idea that this update might come out soon. In many parts of the world, North America, Europe, Asia, it’s about to be the dead of winter. Niantic has disabled the ability for Pokemon Go to be played inside warm buses or from the passenger seat of cars, and the prospect of walking around in the cold is a surefire way to ensure this new update would land with a thud.
